This carbon molecular sieve (CMS) is an adsorbent supplied for use in pressure swing adsorption nitrogen-generation systems. The product is described as a black, extruded pellet with fine pores. In the stated PSA process, oxygen is adsorbed on the CMS surface while nitrogen-enriched gas leaves the adsorption bed.
