This 3A molecular sieve is a potassium-form type A alkali metal aluminosilicate used as a physical desiccant. It has a nominal pore diameter of 3 angstroms (approxima ic water adsorption is at least 21%, and supplied forms include spheres and pellets.
Supported applications include drying ethylene, propylene, butadiene and cracked gas;natural-gas drying where reduced hydrocarbon co-adsorption or COS minimization is required;drying methanol, ethanol and other liquid alcohols;drying CNG;and static dehydration of air-filled or gas-filled insulating glass units.
