This 5A zeolite molecular sieve is the calcium form of the Type A alkali aluminosilicate crystal structure. Its effective pore opening is 5 angstroms (0.5 nm), allowing it to adsorb molecules with kinetic diameters below 5 angstroms while excluding larger molecules. The listed typical formula is 0.70.
