This 13X APG molecular sieve is intended for the co-adsorption of carbon dioxide (CO2) and water (H2O) in cryogenic air-separation systems.
The supplied technical data identifies it as a sodium-form molecular sieve with a listed SiO2-to-Al2O3 ratio of approxima and 3.0–5.0 mm, and pellet diameters of 1.5–1.7 mm and 3.0–3.3 mm.
Across these listed grades, static water adsorption is at least 27%, CO2 adsorption is at least 18.5 NL/g, and water content as shipped is no more than 1.0%. Mechanical properties vary by form and size. Listed bulk density ranges from at least 0.61 to 0.64 g/ml.
Maximum wear ratio is 0.20% for the pellet grades and 0.10% for the spherical grades. Crushing strength is specified by grade, from at least 30 N/cm for the smaller pellet to at least 70 N per piece for the larger sphere. Size-grade ratio is listed at a minimum of 98% for pellets and 96% for spheres.
Standard packing is listed as 25 kg carton boxes or 150 kg steel drums, palletized. The material should be protected from moisture and organic pre-adsorption before use;material exposed before operation may require reactivation.
